Offered in this lot is a poster advertising the New Varsity Theatre in Palo Alto, California, featuring artwork by Monte Dolack of Humphrey Bogart in The Maltese Falcon. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet, Elisha Cook Jr., Gladys George, Barton MacLane, Lee Patrick, Ward Bond, Jerome Cowan, James Burke, Murray Alper, John Hamilton, Walter Huston, and Creighton Hale. Directed by John Huston. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as light edge wear, minute tears, mild creases, or unobtrusive smudges. The poster is signed by artist Monte Dolack.
