Howard Hawks directs this wonderfully complicated film noir based on the novel by Raymond Chandler. This film is a true classic, providing a stellar setting to showcase the electric spark between stars Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. As one of Bogart's most popular films, paper from this title is always highly desirable. Touchup has been applied to the folds, horizontal creases, pinholes, and some surface wear. Part of the upper right background has been airbrushed. Unaddressed issues include a few pinholes at the bottom and faint stains in the lower borders. Fine/Very Fine on Paper.
