    Description

Sunset Boulevard (Paramount, 1957). Rolled, Very Fine-. First Release Polish One Sheet (22.75" X 33.25") Waldemar Swierzy Artwork. From the Mike Kaplan Collection.
Regarded by many as one of the greatest films ever made, Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard features stand out performances by William Holden and Gloria Swanson. Nominated for eleven Academy Awards and seven Golden Globes, the picture remains a classic film noir and ranks high in the top 100 American films list by AFI. Polish paper differs greatly from all others, domestic and foreign, with their bold use of color and abstraction. This fabulous poster does not disappoint with its wonderful and maniacal looking Gloria Swanson, courtesy of the unique artwork by Waldemar Swierzy. An amazing piece for lovers of the film and/or Polish poster collectors, the poster shows indications of handling including a few tears, soft folds, and faint tape stain bleedthrough in the upper right border. There are several strips of masking tape at the edges on the verso.
