    Double Indemnity (Paramount, 1944). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
    A classic film noir from start to finish, Billy Wilder transformed James M. Cain's popular novel into a box office sensation, forever influencing crime thrillers in every aspect essential to the genre. From it's moodily shadowed scenery, sizzling spark between doomed lovers Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck, and its violent portrayal of murky morality, Billy Wilder's twisted tale of murder and love gone wrong practically invented the noir genre. Professionally restored, this poster no longer shows slight fold wear and separations, pinholes, as well as minor chips and tears. The borders have been airbrushed and the linen has been trimmed nearly to the borders. Ranking high on the list of essential posters for any collector, original one sheets for this hardboiled classic are always in demand.
