Description

    FBO Exhibitor Books (FBO, 1925-26 & 1926-27). Softbound Books (2) (9.5" X 12.5") (Multiple Pages).
The 1925-1926 FBO exhibitor book is a real find for any collector of books and book memorabilia from the 1920s era. Featured in this edition are wonderful photographs, alongside the stars, of the authors of the best selling books from which the screenplays were fashioned. There are photos of Gene Stratton-Porter, Sam Hellman, Elizabeth Cooper, Laura Jean Libbey and others right beside Elaine Hammerstein, Clive Brook, Jacqueline Logan, Lou Tellegen, Renee Adoree, and others. The inside back cover features a full page ad for Bray Cartoons. The pages are in excellent condition, with one page having a 6" vertical crease and some smudges. The 1926-27 edition has two pages that no collector of animation should be without! There are full pages, facing each other featuring artwork of Krazy Kat cartoons, and a page featuring "26 Alice Comedies by Walt Disney" with a full length photo of "Alice" with cartoon artwork. Inside there is terrific artwork for Tom Tyler, Fred Thompson, and Bob Custer westerns, and films with Alberta Vaughn, Evelyn Brent, Pauline Frederick, and others. There's a two page spread on Tarzan and the Golden Lion. This edition has a frayed spine, cover smudges and small paper lifts, a small ink mark at the bottom of the first page , a small separation with light smudges and tiny tears at the spine in the last page. Fine+.
