    Description

The Wizard of Oz (Fribergs Filmbyra, 1925). Swedish One Sheet (22.5" X 35").
With its charming drawing of the Scarecrow (popular silent film comedian Larry Semon, who also directs this film) and the Lion (Spencer Bell), this very rare Swedish one sheet from the first and only 1920s adaptation of L. Frank Baum's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is an absolute boon for fans of this heartwarming tale. Posters for this film adaptation have always been known to be absolutely non-existent in the poster collecting community! Oliver Hardy co-stars as the Tin Man, as does Dorothy Dwan as Dorothy and Charlie Murray as the Wizard. This is the first time Heritage, or anyone for that matter that we are aware of, has presented this poster in auction and it is in pristine condition. Wonderful Bjornberg artwork. Folded, Near Mint.
