    Description

Peter Pan (Paramount, 1924). Fine/Very Fine on Paper. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B.
For many years this first filmed version of the James Barrie classic story was thought lost. Paramount bought the rights to the story as well as the play which had a successful Broadway run intermittently from 1905 through 1916 starring Maude Adams as Peter Pan. Many major actresses of the time vied for the role of the "boy who never grows up," including Mary Pickford and Lillian Gish, but author Barrie choose unknown Betty Bronson. Co-starring Anna Mae Wong, Ernest Torrance and Mary Brian, the film was a great success upon release and was chosen by the Library of Congress to be included in the National Film Registry. This is a first time offer for Heritage for this beautiful stone litho one sheet! There has been touchup applied to the folds. Unaddressed are pinholes, a couple of small tears, a few faint stains, and faint grease pencil marking in the lower border.
