    Description

Devil's Harvest (Continental, 1942). Folded, Fine. One Sheet (28" X 42"). From the collection of Leonard and Alice Maltin.
Directed by Ray Test, this classic anti-marijuana film outlines the perils of "The Smoke of Hell!" and warns of the illegal weed's powerful impact on youth. Anti-pot films of the 1930s and 40s became incredibly popular in the 1960s, causing almost all of the original posters to disappear from the market as they were swept up from the exchanges by headshops. Showcasing a haunting green image of the devil himself, this poster will no doubt spark up the interest of many, and make for a high point in any exploitation collection. There are such signs of use as edge and fold wear, significant fold separations, pinholes, and light creases. There are moderate tears, image ghosting, a couple of tape stains, as well as chips in the borders and folds, some of which have paper tape splices attached on the verso. Also present are tears in the upper left image, in addition to splices at the mouths. The verso has pieces of masking tape at the folds. Folded, Fine.
