DescriptionDevil's Harvest (Continental, 1942). Fine/Very Fine. Lobby Cards (6) (11" X 14").
The anti-marijuana films created in the 1930s and 1940s became very popular in the 1960s and almost all of the original posters disappeared from the market as they were swept up from the exchanges by headshops. This classic anti-marihuana tract was directed by Ray Test and outlines the perils of "The Smoke of Hell!" The cards generally show mild edge wear, small tears, pinholes, dust shadows, and faint foxing. One card has a minor paper remnant in the border, and a few cards have small bits of paper loss at the edges, a couple of which have pieces of paper tape that are visible on the front. The cards were once backed and now have paper lifts and staining on the verso. Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
