    Description

Assassin of Youth (Roadshow, 1937). Folded, Very Fine. Silk Screen One Sheet (28" X 42.5").
This 1937 exploitation film from director Elmer Clifton details the alleged ill effects of cannabis or "marihuana" on America's youth. Similar to the better known Reefer Madness, the picture represents the anti-drug propaganda of the time. Ideal for the exploitation film collector, this one sheet features a sultry image in bold, electric hues. As vibrant as the day it was printed, this silk screen one sheet displays such signs of handling as light edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, mild creases, and minor tears. Also apparent are pinholes, extra vertical folds, soft surface scuffs, as well as very small stains. There is a piece of archival tape on the verso bracing the middle crossfold.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
