Elvis Presley Lot # 1 (Various, 1966-1972). One Sheets (5) (27" X 41").Tupelo, Mississippi native Elvis Aaron Presley shot to fame in the 1950s as a singer, eventually being dubbed "The King of Rock and Roll,' or more simply "The King." The burgeoning medium of television combined with his extraordinary good looks and controversial dance moves catapulted Presley to an unprecedented level of worldwide popularity. In the 1960s, Elvis solidified his cultural icon status as one Hollywood's leading men. Sadly, the pressure of fame ultimately became his downfall. Before his death at the young age of 42, The King amassed an impressive number of feature films (33!) including the following in this lot: Spinout (MGM, 1966--fold wear), Frankie and Johnny (United Artists, 1966-a small nick mid-background), Clambake (United Artists, 1967), Charro (National General, 1969-creasing), and Elvis on Tour (MGM, 1972-fold wear and cross fold separation). Fans of this legendary American entertainer won't want to miss these posters, a testament to the King's storied career! Very Fine-.
