    Description

Dumbo (RKO, 1941). Very Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B.
Ben Sharpsteen directs this poignant tale of a lonely little elephant who learns to fly with the aid of Timothy Mouse (Edward Brophy) and a group of wise-cracking crows (voiced by James Baskett and Cliff Edwards, among others). The original release of this Disney classic grossed more revenue than the studio's two previous feature films, Pinocchio and Fantasia, combined. In fact, the film proved so popular that Time magazine planned to feature Dumbo on the December 1941 cover, until the horrific bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7th took place. This is only the second time Heritage has had to offer the style B of the original release one sheet, which looks great after restoration made corrections to edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, some horizontal creases, and pinholes. There were also minor tears and small chips in the borders and folds, and the one sheet also had touchup in the top left background. These repairs have made the one sheet into a excellent prize for Disney fans, ready to be put up on display. Very Fine- on Linen.
