White Woman (Paramount, 1933). Very Fine- on Linen. Full-Bleed One Sheet (26.5" X 39.75") Style A. From the Mike Kaplan Collection.
Starting out as a child actor in 1921, Carole Lombard began her career with Fox and Pathe before finding a home with Paramount in 1930. The stunning one sheet from White Woman is from her early time at Paramount, when she was just gaining attention for her successes in comedies and dramas. Lombard's career would later lead her to be Hollywood's highest paid star in the late 1930s. On this scarce, angst-filled poster Lombard's classic blonde beauty is rendered to perfection along with co-stars Laughton and Kent Taylor. Professional touchup has been applied to slight fold wear and separation, a few creases, a couple of small tears, as well as a minor chip in the middle crossfold. There are a couple of very small stains near the right edge. The poster displays very faint discoloration along the edges from an acidic mat in which it was formerly displayed. A sensationally rare item for collectors, this piece presents an opportunity not to be missed.
