A classic early picture with unique significance, Too Busy to Work serves as both a reflective Depression-era drama and a subtle commentary on the socio-economic hardships of the time. Directed by John G. Blystone, the film is part of the 'Will Rogers' series from Fox and stands out for its sharp narrative, infused with Rogers' signature charm. Although Rogers unfortunately passed in a tragic plane crash at the age of 55, this film remains a stunning example of his skill and commanding presence. Making its inaugural debut at Heritage, this magnificent poster has benefitted from airbrushing along the borders and touchup to the interior folds to address edge and fold wear, creases, crossfold separation, misfolds, tears, and some slight chipping which has been further corrected by replacement.
