Tokyo Joe (Columbia, 1949). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Silk Screen Standee (32.25" X 59.5").
Humphrey Bogart fans will not want to miss this outstanding standee featuring a bold image of him, along with femme fatale Florence Marly. Famously the first American film to be shot in post-war Japan, Tokyo Joe finds a guy trying to resume his life in Japan after the war, only to discover his wife, who he had presumed dead, has remarried, and the US government is determined to interfere in his affairs. Offered for the first time at Heritage, this standee shows signs of use, such as edge and fold wear, tears, mild smudging, slight toning, and unobtrusive stains. There are also some scratches, creases, scuffing, and a couple of moderate gouges. The lower right corner has some surface loss and the paper is lifting at the fold. The base stand for the standee is not included in this lot. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
