    Description

Three Hours (First National, 1927). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A. From the Collection of Frank Buxton, of which the sale's proceeds will benefit The San Francisco Silent Film Festival.
Corinne Griffith was a star of the first magnitude during the silent era. This film was the last of eleven films she would produce herself; she would retire with the advent of talkies and leave the screen for thirty years. In the decades after her Hollywood career, she invested wisely and became an accomplished author of over a dozen books. At the time of her death in 1979, she was one of the wealthiest women in the world, leaving an estate worth $150 million. This beautiful stone litho one sheet is absolutely stunning and has only had light touchup to the borders and folds. Very Fine+ on Linen.
