Description

The Yellow Ticket (Fox, 1931). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Raoul Walsh directs this serious drama of the tragedy of life in Czarist Russia. Elissa Landi is a poor peasant who only has a yellow ticket, denoting her as a prostitute, as passage to St. Petersburg which causes complications with a corrupt baron (Lionel Barrymore) and her new friend and journalist, played by Laurence Olivier in one of his earliest U.S. roles. Boris Karloff can be seen in a minor role as well. This beautiful stone litho sheet shows only a smudge in the bottom border, a tear in the lower left corner, crossfold separations, and light creases in the left border. Very Fine-.
