The Unguarded Moment (Universal International, 1956). Reynold Brown Original Three Sheet Artwork in Gouache (17.5" X 30").One of the finest artists ever to work on movie poster designs, Reynold Brown is best known for the amount of detail and movement he creates in each of his flawless paintings. Not only is he able to render a subject's features accurately, but the emotion and feeling is remarkable. His work is always highly sought after, and it is a rare treat to offer an original painting of Esther Williams by this beloved artist. The film, in which she stars as a teacher sexually harassed by a male student, was a dramatic turn for Williams, who is best remembered for her light romantic "swimming" films. The board measures 17.5" X 30" and the image area, painted in gouache (a thick watercolor which was Brown's preferred medium) is 13" X 25." It has pencil marks in the margins, and was used for the three sheet poster. Original art for movie posters in this fine of condition rarely turn up, especially by the renowned Reynold Brown, and when they do, they always create a lot of excitement from collectors. Very Fine.
