The Sun's Burial (Shochiku Eiga, 1960). International Release Japanese B2 (20.5" X 28.5"). Japanese Title: Taiyo no Hakaba.
The third film in director Nagisa Oshima's "youth trilogy," The Sun's Burial unfolds in the festering slums of post-war Osaka where depravity and despair abound -- murder, suicide, drug trade, arson, rival gangs, and an organized criminal racket. This evocative international release poster depicts Hanako (Kayoko Honoo) as one of the neighborhood's desperate souls who's caught up in the lucrative trade of selling human blood to cosmetics companies. A Heritage first, this poster is in immaculate condition. Rolled, Mint.
