The Streets of New York (Pilot, 1920s). Six Sheet (81" X 82.5").
The perils of big city dwelling come to life on this captivating stone litho six sheet. Burning buildings are encircled by steam fire engines and heroic firemen try to save the day. The poster was created for the 1922 film The Streets of New York, based on a play written by Irish actor and playwright Dion Boucicault (1820-1890). The six sheet was mounted on linen, and minor touchup has been applied to small tears and chips along the folds, and pinholes in the borders. Light smudging can be noted in the bottom border. This is the first paper Heritage has offered for this film. Very Fine- on Linen.
