DescriptionThe Sign of the Cross (Paramount, 1932). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B.
Directed with all the pomp and circumstance director Cecil B. DeMille could muster, this was the third in his Biblical trilogy, following The Ten Commandments and The King of Kings. Starring Fredric March, Claudette Colbert, Charles Laughton, and a literal cast of thousands, it was also his first major hit of the sound era. Making its first appearance at Heritage, this bright style B one sheet showcases a great stone litho portrait of March in his role as Prefect Marcus Superbus, a soldier who finds his loyalties divided between love and duty. There is light creasing, slight edge wear, and a small top right corner chip. The poster has pinholes in the borders and one above Fredric March's credit. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
