Description

The Secret of Madame Blanche (MGM, 1933). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). "The Secret of Madame Blanche" is one of the confessional films which movie fans of the early '30s devoured like bonbons. Irene Dunne stars as a musical hall entertainer, pregnant by a wealthy young man (Phillips Holmes) who marries her, but soon kills himself. Under pressure from her father-in-law Lionel Atwill, she allows him to rear her son, and goes back to her old life. Two decades pass, she crosses her son's path after he has committed a murder. She confesses, and willingly takes the blame without letting the boy know her true identity. This lobby card has some soiling, corner creases, a tiny corner chip, an edge tear without paper loss, some creasing, pinholes, and edge wear. The lovely portrait of Dunne and Phillips Holmes is in excellent condition. Very Good/Fine.
