A labor of love by John Ford would prove his genius once again. With no one willing to finance his sentimental journey back to Ireland, Ford pulled together his handpicked cast and crew, and with even the meager budget Republic begrudgingly bequeathed him, fashioned one of his best films. John Wayne's march to Victor McLaglen's house with the growing crowd remains a masterful cinematic scene, even to this day. The gorgeous Maureen O'Hara co-stars, and is brought to exquisite life in the grasp of Wayne on this head-turning French Grande by artist Clement Hurel. In impressive condition, the poster only required touchup to the folds and cross folds, and in the red bottom left background. There is a slight lifting of the paper from the linen in the top left corner. A sensational opportunity for John Wayne and John Ford collectors! Very Fine- on Linen.
