This dramatic French poster for The Loves of Pharaoh captures the grandeur and intensity of Ernst Lubitsch's silent epic, with its vivid illustration emphasizing passion, power, and political intrigue in ancient Egypt. A landmark of German cinema, the film combined monumental set design with Lubitsch's flair for spectacle, making it one of the director's most ambitious works before his celebrated transition to Hollywood. This poster is a first time offering from Heritage, and it has benefited from carefully employed airbrushing and touchup that has restored edge and fold wear, creases, tears, and chips/chipping, that latter of which has been further corrected by replacement. Toning remains.
