Description

The Great Waltz & Other Lot (MGM, 1938). Overall: Fine. Insert (14" X 36"), Posters (7) (30" X 40") Styles Y & Z, & Double-Sided Theatre Display (27" X 40.5"). Drama.
Starring Luise Rainer, Fernand Gravey, Miliza Korjus, Hugh Herbert, Lionel Atwill, Curt Bois, and Leonid Kinskey. Directed by Julien Duvivier. Included with the insert for The Great Waltz are posters for The Eagle and the Hawk (Paramount, 1950), A Kiss in the Dark (Warner Bros., 1949), The Lady Takes a Sailor (Warner Bros., 1949), The Sun Comes Up (MGM, 1949), The Happy Years (MGM, 1950), The Velvet Touch (RKO, 1948), and A Ticket to Tomahawk (20th Century Fox, 1950). Also included is a double-sided theatre display used for posting posters for coming or current attractions, which has one sheets for Car 99 (Paramount, 1935) and Rocky Mountain Mystery (Paramount, 1935) attached on opposite sides. Unrestored posters with good color and overall very presentable appearances. They may have edge wear, slight paper loss, some chips and/or tears, moderate stains or smudges, pinholes, strips of masking or cellophane tape, rippling, and/or creases. Some of the posters have strips of masking and/or paper tape on the verso. The theatre display, The Velvet Touch, and A Ticket to Tomahawk show most of the wear in this lot, including noticeable stains, rippling, tears, and/or paper loss.
