    The Good Earth (MGM, 1937). Three Sheet (41.5" X 79.5") Style B.
    Based on the novel by Pearl S. Buck, Paul Muni and Luise Rainer portray a land-owning Chinese couple forced to deal with famine and indiscretion in a pre-revolution China. Producer Irving Thalberg, who would receive a posthumous Academy Award nomination for the film, originally wanted an entire cast of Chinese actors, but was unable to locate suitable actors. This was the second of Rainer's back-to-back Best Actress Oscar-winning roles. The gorgeous and very rare stone litho poster has only touch-up to the folds, and is a poster Heritage has never offered before. Very Fine+ on Linen.
