The Divine Woman (MGM, 1928). Swedish One Sheet (24" X 33.5").
The Divine Woman teams the lauded silent director Victor Sjostrom with the incomparable Greta Garbo in a drama about an impoverished but ambitious woman who goes to Paris to find fame as an actress, only to be torn between the devotions of two very different men. Although no complete prints of the film are known to exist; a single reel of the eight-reel feature (9 minutes in length) was discovered in a Moscow archive in 1993 and is available on the TCM Garbo Silent collection. Though the artist is unknown for this wonderful original release Swedish poster, it is a grand stylized deco design. With only minor edge wear and crimps the poster is unrestored. Rolled, Very Fine.
