    Description

    Sparrows (United Artists, 1926). Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Perhaps the most famous woman of the early 20th century, Mary Pickford appeared in an estimated 205 features and short films, ran her own production company, co-founded United Artists, and was a founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This film was thought lost until recently, when the Academy rescued it and held its first public viewing in almost eighty years. Making its Heritage debut, this half sheet features three images of the young star. Mounted on paper, the poster has had touchup to small chips in the right background, a chip in the top left corner, tears in the top border with one extending toward the center, a small chip in the right border as well as a tear in the right border that extends into one of the faces. A small tear and tiny hole in the bottom right and corner bend in bottom left. The poster now displays well, and is an important find for collectors of early Hollywood cinema. Fine+ on Paper.
