    Description

    Rebel without a Cause (Warner Brothers, 1955). Argentinean Poster (57" X 43").
If you've longed for a vintage James Dean centerpiece for your collection or film room wall, this Argentinean two-panel will do nicely. It's one of the few posters you'll find that actually features Dean brandishing his knife. The US paper had the knife airbrushed from his hand, with only a few foreign posters depicting him holding the blade. This strong image has him actually attacking and plunging into his opponent. The poster has the ironic balancing in full color of a sweet-faced teen-age Natalie Wood on one side, with her enigmatic counterpart on the other, Dean, defiantly posing with the symbolic emblem for youthful rebellion..the burning forbidden cigarette. The poster states: "James Dean, the sensation of East of Eden, in another heartbreaking story." This oversize two panel poster has been joined together, and has only some fold wear with small fold separation with minor chips, edge wear in the top border with chips and small tears. There are some surface creases and crinkles throughout, yet excellent color to the overall poster. This is the first time Heritage has offered this very scarce Argentinean double panel! Fine-.
