    Description

Ran (Toho, 1985). French Grande (46" X 62"). "Man is born crying. When he has cried enough, he dies." Director Akira Kurosawa's masterwork is this reworking of Shakespeare's "King Lear." Lord Hidetora Ichimonji (Tatsuya Nakadai) has decided to divide his kingdom among his three sons. The battles between the three to gain complete control cause the entire realm to collapse around them. This French grande has pinholes with tears and chips, wrinkling, and edge wear with a few pieces of tape on the edge. There is soiling and scuffs on the title. A magnificent image of the warring samurais. Fine.
