    Description

    Queen Bee (Columbia C.E.I.A.D., 1956). Italian 2 - Fogli (39.25" X 54.75") Anselmo Ballester Artwork.
Joan Crawford positively eviscerates the scenery as Eva Phillips - the brutal Georgia belle, diabolically intent on the personal and emotional combustion of all who cross her path. Crawford herself bought the rights to Edna L. Lee's novel of the same name, and agreed to sell it to Columbia only under the condition that she would choose the film's writer, producer, and cinematographer, and have complete control and approval over the costume, makeup and hair design. Oh, and that she would star. This gorgeous Italian 2 - fogli from the brilliant Anselmo Ballester captures Crawford and co-star Barry Sullivan on their final climactic journey into oblivion. The poster shows mild edge and fold wear, fold separation, creases, pinholes, unobtrusive stains and smudges, tears into the interior, minor paper loss, and signs of moderate toning. There are tax stamps with pencil markings in the upper background, and cellophane/masking tape on the verso with some bleedthrough. A chip in the lower left corner has been reattached, and touchup has been applied to the center horizontal fold, along with a splice in the left border. Folded, Fine-.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
