    Description

No More Orchids (Columbia, 1932). Very Fine. Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Based on a novel by Grace Perkins, this comedic melodrama holds the distinction of being Carole Lombard's first starring role. Delivering her racy quips throughout, Lombard keeps the film from sinking into a maudlin muddle. The film's title is a reference to Paramount's publicity about Lombard's love of orchids and in this instance, her character's giving up the high life to marry into the common life. This excellent title card has slight edge wear, light creases, and a couple of pinholes at the top, one of which is torn. There are a few minute paper lifts, and the card also has some very faint surface scratches in the interior. Very Fine.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
