No Man of Her Own (Paramount, 1932). Fine+, Kraft Paper-Backed. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Offered for the first time at Heritage, this scarce one sheet features real-life lovers Clark Cable and Carole Lombard from the film on which they met. Both were married to others at the time, and it would be another seven years before the legendary Hollywood couple would tie the knot in 1939. In the film, Gable stars as a card sharp on the run from a bothersome policeman. While hiding, he meets a librarian with a wild side played by Carole Lombard. They end up married, but Gable's secret gambling lifestyle soon gets in the way. Backed with Kraft paper, the poster shows fold wear, with tape stains on the corners and borders, pinholes, and some paper lift also on the borders. The artwork remains wonderfully vibrant and the poster presents well.
