Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (Columbia, 1939). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A. Jimmy Stewart starred in this Frank Capra film about a young senator who goes to Washington to try and make a difference in society. He's full of ideals and soon befriends a cynical reporter played by Jean Arthur, and goes up against a political machine led by his personal hero, another senator played by Claude Rains. The film is one of the greatest American movies ever made and the posters are always in demand. Of the three one sheets designed for the film, this particular style A poster is rarely ever seen and this copy is the finest we know of. It has a few clean pinholes around the border and some tiny separation at the crossfolds which is common with one sheets. Very Fine+.
