How Green Was My Valley (20th Century Fox, 1941). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B.
John Ford's sentimental story of a Welsh mining family won the Best Picture Academy Award in 1941. This film remains one of the best remembered of Ford's career, with a stellar cast that includes Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O'Hara, Roddy McDowell, and Donald Crisp. This one sheet, the incredibly scarce style B, is rarely offered for sale. Minimal signs of handling include wrinkling, a small hole at the top right, a top cross fold separation with tape on the verso, fold separation at the left border, a small tear in O'Hara's face, light stains in the bottom section and borders, and pinholes in the corners.
