    Description

Gone With the Wind (R-1968). One Sheet (27" X 41") & (8) Lobby Card Set (11" X 14"). Fourteen hundred actresses were interviewed for the part of Scarlett O'Hara, and over 400 were screen-tested. Bette Davis turned the role down because she thought Errol Flynn, whom she detested, was to be her co-star.Vivian Leigh, of course, rightfully got the part in the end and the legend continued. This set includes the full eight cards from the 1968 re-release along with the one sheet. The '68 poster was the first time to use the fabulous orange background artwork. It was printed on flat stock, so it's a much prettier piece than the '71 re-release one sheet which was printed on glossy stock. This set is in Fine/Very Fine condition. The one sheet is in Very Fine/Near Mint condition.
