Gambling Lady (Warner Bros., 1934). Fine+ on Linen. Three Sheet (41.25" X 79.5"). From the Mike Kaplan Collection.
A first time offer from Heritage, this three sheet has the distinction of being the only known copy and was once found on display at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Grand Lobby Gallery. Barbara Stanwyck is a professional and honest gambler. She meets a wealthy young man (played by Joel McCrea) and falls in love. Everybody assumes she is just a gold-digger until she saves McCrea from a murder charge. This stone litho poster has received professional touchup to correct slight fold wear and creases, a few tears, small chips, as well as pinholes. The borders were trimmed to varying degrees and the side borders also had paper loss, all of which was addressed during restoration. Still visible are faint stains, a few smudges, and a couple of thin scratches. The borders, title, and some of the red background have been airbrushed.

    Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
