From Farm to Fame (United Artists, 1922). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, and Hope Hampton, three of the top silent stars from the early 1920s, are featured on this splendid Ritchey stone lithograph piece. The trio judged an annual nationwide beauty contest held by Eugene Brewster, publisher of Motion Picture Classic and Shadowland, two of the day's leading film magazines. Below them is a portrait of the 1920 winner, Corliss Palmer, who bested Mary Astor. At age sixteen, Clara Bow would win this same contest, starting her career. Backed on thin linen, the poster has two tears in the top border, and some fold separation with small tears in the middle fold. There is slight lifting at the middle fold of the poster from the linen. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
