Description

Camille (Metro, 1921). Title Lobby Card and Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Drama.
Starring Alla Nazimova, Rudolph Valentino, Arthur Hoyt, Zeffie Tilbury. Directed by Ray C. Smallwood. In this early film version of Alexandre Dumas' tragic romance, the young lovers are brilliantly played by silent legends Alla Nazimova and Rudolph Valentino, with dramatic art direction by Natacha Rambova, Valentino's future wife. Nazimova took a chance on hiring the virtually unknown actor, which paid off, as his hugely popular Four Horseman of the Apocalypse was soon to be released. The title card has three edge chips, and a stain in the top border. The other card has some discoloration in the borders and a small edge tear. Fine.
