Description

Brennan of the Moor (Exclusive Supply Corp., 1913). Three Sheet (40" X 81").
Loosely based on a ballad about popular 19th century Irish highwayman William Brennan, Brennan of the Moor features Barney Gilmore as Brennan O'Malley, a nobleman-bandit who steals from the rich to give to the poor. Gilmore can be seen on this glorious stone lithography poster in full bandit attire atop a horse, bringing much needed comfort to the less fortunate. Offered for the first time through Heritage, this magnificent large format poster from the silent three reeler shows pinholes in the corners of the three sections, edge wear with small tears, minor staining in the borders, and fold separations going into the background. Folded, Very Fine-.
