This striking first release Swedish one sheet for Blonde Venus captures the allure of Marlene Dietrich, whose magnetic screen presence defined the collaboration between herself and director Josef von Sternberg. The film, co-starring Herbert Marshall and a young Cary Grant, blends melodrama and musical spectacle in its tale of sacrifice, reinvention, and forbidden desire. With its bold Art Deco title treatment and vivid stylization, the Gosta Aberg artwork of the poster reflects both the glamour of early 1930s Hollywood and the enduring cultural fascination with Dietrich as an icon of elegance and transgression. Some airbrushing and touchup has addressed edge and fold wear, creases, some tears, and a few chips, most of which have been additionally replaced.
