    Description

    A Woman's Face (MGM, Late 1940s). First Post-War Italian 2 - Foglio (39" X 55") Ercole Brini Art.
Joan Crawford is superb in this George Cukor-directed thriller about a woman who bears the scar of a shady past -- literally. A plastic surgeon (Melvyn Douglas) is able to restore her beauty, but hopes of starting a new life are dashed when her past comes back to haunt her. The genius Italian poster artist Ercole Brini (1913-1989) crafted an exquisite large format poster for this film, arguably more beautiful than the American versions. Careful restoration has been applied to address pinholes in the corners, small tears, a chip, and a stain in the borders, and touchup has been applied to the folds. A rare find and first time offer from Heritage! Fine+ on Linen.
