A Soldier's Oath (Fox, R-1918). Six Sheet (80" X 82").
A tragic scene captured in the beauty of stone litho printing, French soldier William Farnum has his beloved daughter torn from his arms while being arrested for a murder he did not commit. Farnum made his film debut in the 1914 Western, The Spoilers, the same year his brother, Dustin, would star in Cecil B. DeMille's The Squaw Man. After signing with Fox, Farnum would take on lead roles in popular films such as If I Were King, Les Misérables, and Tale of Two Cities. A Heritage first, this moving large format poster shows some creases and misfolds, chips and minor tears in the borders, light fold wear with crossfold separations, slight chipping in the folds, a tear in the upper edge of the middle left panel, and some image ghosting in the title area. There is staining in the lower borders and staining in the lower borders. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
