    Description

Dragonslayer by Paul Wenzel (Paramount, 1981). Signed Original Acrylic International Poster Artwork (27" X 32").
International posters often outrank their US counterparts with their incredible illustrations, and this is especially true for the fantastical adventure Dragonslayer. This blazing image by artist Paul Wenzel, found on Australian and Argentinean release posters, shines the spotlight on one of the best dragons to hit big screen, Vermithrax Pejorative. Wenzel's masterful use of light and shading give the piece a near 3-D quality, making each of the detailed highlights pop from the shadowy background. Signed by the artist, this painting was illustrated on art board and shows mild surface scuffing that does not greatly affect the characters and has slight wear to the matted portion. Very Fine-.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
