DescriptionDodge City (Warner Bros., 1939). Fine/Very Fine. Linen Finish Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
To this day, Dodge City remains one of the finest Westerns of the era, due in large part to the fine performances of Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. It was Errol Flynn's first of eight great Westerns and one of the first to be filmed in three strip Technicolor. The gorgeous linen finish cards for this picture have always been scarce, with the title card offered here being especially desirable for its great portrait of the two stars. Professional restoration has addressed edge wear, mild creases, pinholes, and small chips and tears in the borders. There were a few scuffs in Olivia de Havilland's portrait and the card has a couple of very minor stains still visible. the borders and part of the verso have been airbrushed.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
