    Description

Let's Get Lost (Little Bear, 1988). Small Size Promotion Posters (3) (17.25" X 21.5"). Documentary.
When noted fashion photographer Bruce Weber (Versace, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, etc.) stopped in a Pittsburgh record store in 1962, he bought a copy of the 1955 vinyl LP Chet Baker Sings and Plays with Bud Shank, Russ Freeman and Strings. It would be 24 years before Weber would meet Baker in a New York nightclub and begin a friendship that would culminate in Weber spending over one million dollars of his own money producing one of the best documentaries ever made about a musician. The photos used on this amazing set of three posters for the film's distribution, primarily to art houses and colleges, are all by legendary jazz photographer, William Claxton. That haunting beauty in the photos with Baker is Halema Alli, Chet's second wife, whom he abandoned. In excellent original condition, there are only two posters with small pinholes and a staple mark in the image of one. *Note: the "tears" and scratches are in the printing, to give the photos a "vintage" look. An excellent find for any true jazz lover. Very Fine+.
