    Cinerama Lot (Cinerama Releasing, 1950s-1960s). Window Cards (3) (15" X 22", 14" X 22.5", 11.5" X 16") & Trimmed Window Card (15.25" X 22.5"). Documentary.
    Offered in this lot is four window cards promoting the rise of Cinerama in the 1950s. The unique three projector format which offered a 146 degree viewing area, was one of the movie industry attempts to combat the rise of television. Cinerama was offered to the public as a theatrical event, with reserved seating, printed programs, and the audience member dressing in their best attire for the show. The four window cards offered in this lot are This is Cinerama (1952), Seven Wonders of the World (1956), South Seas Adventures (1958), and The Best of Cinerama (1963). Unrestored window cards that display signs of use. May include light edge wear, creases, small tears, or unobtrusive stains. The South Seas Adventures window card is trimmed on the left and top of the card. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
