DescriptionDick Tracy's G-Men (Republic, 1939). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14") Chapter 1 -- "The Master Spy."
Ralph Byrd takes his third turn as Chester Gould's hard-boiled detective, joined this time by Phyllis Isley, who would later be known as the Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Jones. The only fully colored cards produced for this serial are from the Chapter 1 set, making these lobbies an especially tempting chance for collectors. A first-time offer at Heritage, these cards display slight edge wear, pinholes, surface scratches, and unobtrusive stains and smudging. Two of the scene cards have diagonal creases at the top left. The title card shows minor paper lifts in the borders and a faint bit of pencil writing in the upper left corner. Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $400 - $800.
