    Description

    Dial M for Murder (Warner Brothers, 1954). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Although Grace Kelly had appeared in numerous television programs and supporting roles in a couple of movies, it wasn't until she was "discovered" by Alfred Hitchcock that she became a major star. Of the three films she made for the Master of Suspense, this was considered her best role-- that of a wealthy wife of a retired tennis pro. When the husband finds out his wife has had an affair, he plots to have her murdered. Hitchcock knew the part called for a woman who could radiate charm, elegance and sophistication and Grace Kelly embodied all of these attributes like no other. Featuring a powerful image from one of the film's most climatic scenes, this one sheet has had professional touchup applied to the folds, pinhole into the interior, a thin surface scratch, and a few small spots of surface paper loss. There is a faint bit of surface paper loss still visible. Very Fine- on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
