    Dead Man's Eyes (Universal, 1944). Six Sheet (79" X 80").
Lon Chaney Jr. was at the height of his makeup monster career when he made this macabre mystery, playing a struggling artist that accidentally washes out his eyes with acid. When his fiance's father (played by Edward Fielding) winds up murdered after promising to posthumously donate his corneas to the blind artist, all eyes are on Chaney as the suspect in the case. Jean Parker, Paul Kelly, Thomas Gomez, and Jonathan Hale join in to thicken the plot. This film was part of the Inner Sanctum Mystery series, inspired by a long-running radio program of the same name, with each of the six films starring Lon Chaney Jr. This eye-catching, large format poster shows edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, creasing, and small tears. The are pinholes into the interior, a few chips in the folds, and a small gouge in Paul Kelly's cheek. The poster has a piece of paper tape on the verso. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $400 - $800.
